RigSketch

RigSketch end-user licence agreement (draft)

Draft for review by someone qualified before it goes live at https://rigsketch.org/eula. Stores such as Steam let you attach a custom EULA; if you leave it out, the store's standard subscriber agreement applies instead, which is acceptable for a first release.

This agreement is between you and RigSketch ("we", rigsketch.org) and covers the RigSketch software, its bundled content and its documentation ("the Software").

1. Licence

When you buy RigSketch you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, for any purpose, including commercial work. You may make copies for backup.

2. What you own

Everything you create with the Software (drawings, animations, exports, project files) is yours. We claim no rights over it and never see it.

3. Bundled content

The 3D models and animation clips that ship with the Software are open-licence works by third parties, listed with their licences in the About dialog and in ASSETS.md:

Animations or models you add yourself remain subject to whatever licence you obtained them under (for example, Adobe's terms for Mixamo content).

4. What you may not do

5. Updates

We may provide updates. Updates are covered by this agreement unless they come with their own terms. The desktop version checks for updates only when you ask it to.

6. Privacy

The Software stores your work on your device and sends nothing unless you choose to (see the privacy policy at https://rigsketch.org/privacy).

7. Warranty and liability

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for any loss of data or other damage arising from its use. Save your work often; the Software autosaves to help with that, but it is not a backup.

8. Refunds

Purchases through a store follow that store's refund policy. Purchases made directly from rigsketch.org may be refunded within 14 days of purchase on request to support@rigsketch.org.

9. Termination

This licence ends if you breach it. When it ends you must stop using the Software and delete your copies. Sections 2, 3, 7 and 10 survive termination.

10. General

This agreement is governed by the law of the seller's place of business, to be stated here before release. If any part of it is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. This is the whole agreement about the Software.
